Structure Siding
Structure siding is the first premium siding permanently bonded with Extruded Polypropylene, and features a lock and nail hem for a tight foam-to-foam seam. Women’s Day Remodeling & Makeovers magazine honored Structure® with a 2008 Remodeling and Makeover Award for its energy-efficient design. And top-of-the-line energy efficiency is just the beginning. Structure boasts classic style, a 190 mph wind rating and reduces outside noise levels by up to 30 percent.

Learn more about Structure Siding
Structure siding performs where others may not in strength, performance and curb appeal. Structure siding is impact-resistant, engineered for higher energy efficiency, and reduces high frequency noise and wind sounds.
Structure siding offers a superior quality that has a solid feel and natural wood grain pattern to create the appearance of real wood. It requires no priming, caulking or painting which virtually eliminates any maintenance costs. Structure siding is available in two premium profiles — double 6" and single 7" — with corner post and accessories. It is available in a variety of standard colors or custom colors through the dream color program.
Features and Benefits:
First premium siding permanently bonded with Extruded Polypropylene
- Able to withstand 160 mph winds
- 30% more impact resistance than EPS foam
- Foam backing provides a straighter appearance and a solid feel
- Design options include Double 6" and Single 7"
- Brushed wood grain detail and colors
- Locks securely with patented T3-Lok System
- Insulated outside corner posts for added protection and insulation
Structure siding can improve the R-value (resistance to heat flow) of your home up to 25%
- Fiber Cement has an R-value of 0.15/inch (published value)
- EPS (expanded polystyrene) foam is used in all other available insulated siding
- R-Value (Type 1, EPS) = 3.6/inch (published value) (per ASTM C578)
- XPP (extruded polypropylene) is a premium foam used exclusively in Structure
- R-Vales (XPP) = 3.8/inch (tested per ASTM C518 method)
- At the same thickness, XPP is a better insulator than EPS
Structure is energy efficient for immediate payoff
- Insulates the entire home’s exterior better than wood framing, which allows significant heat loss
- Provides insulation value where studs and drywall do not
- Improves R-value of the wall system up to 25%
- R-value is 6 times higher than non-insulated vinyl siding
- Structure siding is not susceptible to physical degradation or insulation loss from absorbed water or freeze/thaw cycles
- Immediate energy savings means the siding job nearly pays for itself
Reduces high frequency noise and wind sounds by up to 50%
- Acoustical filtering properties reduce noise from outside sources.
- Sound Transmission Coefficient (STC) measures acoustical filter properties - higher values indicate better performance (ASTM E90)
- Vinyl siding without insulation STC = 11
- Standard EPS insulated siding STC = 16
- Structure STC = 18
Structure absorbs less water than standard products, reducing the growth of mold and mildew
- Fiber cement absorbs water as caulked joints degrade from expansion & contraction over time, allowing mold & mildew to grow in these joints
- Structure siding absorbs less water than standard products.* (*ASTM C272 standard test for water absorption)
